Reminder: KET’s 2nd District candidates forum on Monday

Just a reminder that KET will have its candidates forum in the 2nd Congressional District race on Monday at 8 p.m. EST.

I’ll be one of the two journalists asking the questions of Democrat David Boswell and Republican Brett Guthrie during the hour-long forum, and will spend this weekend working out exactly what to ask the two congressional hopefuls. Joining me will be Kevin Willis with WKU Public Radio in Bowling Green.

I participated in the 2nd District forum with Boswell and fellow Democrat Reid Haire in the spring and really enjoyed it, so I’m looking forward to appearing again on Monday.

If anyone has any suggestions for questions or issues to cover during the forum, feel free to contact me at ocovington@messenger-inquirer.com.

Tonight’s edition of KET’s Kentucky Tonight should be a good one, with Bill Goodman and his guests taking up this fall’s election.

Not sure how much will be focused on the national scene vs. what’s going on in Kentucky, but from the looks of the lineup, it should be a good discussion.
