Gov. Steve Beshear will hold the first of 13 town hall meetings planned for around the state in Pikeville tonight.
Beshear will be speaking at Virgie Middle School in the eastern Kentucky town at 6 p.m. EST followed by a question and answer period.
His schedule of meetings will take him to Madisonville on July 31, Bowling Green on Aug. 6, Owensboro on Aug. 11 and Henderson on Aug. 18.
I’m going to try to attend some of the meetings in western Kentucky along with the one here in Owensboro to get a sense of the message the governor is taking to citizens with the meeting as well as the message folks send to him.
